Possible Mac Malware Alert
**This message is intended ONLY for Mac computer users.**
Please use the following steps to check for the possible Mac Malware.
1. Open Finder.
2. In the Menu Bar at the top of your screen, click on “Go”.
3. From the drop-down list that appears, click on “Go to Folder”.
4. Copy/paste the following into the window.
~/Library/LaunchAgents/
5. If you have any Launch Agents installed, this will open the LaunchAgents subfolder, where you should see only a few files and they should be recognizable, like “com.dropbox…..”, etc. If you have the following file, delete it and then restart your Mac.
“com.wznlVRt83Jsd.HPyT0b4Hwxh.plist”
If you do not have any Launch Agents installed, you also do not have the malware installed and you will not see the LaunchAgents subfolder. You will get a tutorial saying “File Not Found”, in which case you don’t need to do anything else.
Computer Sale by TAP
Need a New Computer?
How about a desktop or laptop PC that has been completely refurbished by the TVCUC Technology Access Program (TAP)?
At the beginning of each year we are allowed to sell a limited number of the systems refurbished by TAP but they sell out very quickly. For a fraction of the cost of a new computer you can have one that runs like new. And the best part – what you pay goes toward funding more refurbished computers that are repurposed to needy youth and folks who might not otherwise have a computer.

2020 Member Survey
The Board of Directors has compiled the results of our member survey and to say we were surprised would be an understatement. You told us what you liked, didn’t like, and what you wanted more of.
As a direct result of your participation in this survey, we are diligently working on changing the Tellico Village Computer Users Club (TVCUC) to be more services-oriented in First Level Support (FLS), the Technology Access Program (TAP) and Education.
We are going forward with a new Board of Directors and with better direction and focus regarding the needs and desires of our members. We have maintained the strong financial position that our grant givers want to see in making sure we are a fiscally responsible organization in which they can invest. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to our grant writers. Without their tireless efforts we would never have been able to provide so many computer systems to the thousands of youths we’ve helped. We plan to continue serving our members and expanding our service within our community.
Only with your support, both financially and most importantly with your time in volunteering, can we continue. We ask for your volunteer support – it is so important to the success of your club. Remember, you don’t have to be technically inclined or be a computer geek to help. We have many volunteer positions available in education and other areas in which we need help.

Dues Notice
To all members,
The Club is facing the following challenges:
1). We are seeing an increase in requests for the systems provided by TAP (Technology Access Program). We are currently supplying nearly 100 per month.
2). Cost increases for the refurbishing supplies needed for those systems TAP is providing.
3). There is also a greatly increased need to provide support services via FLS (First Level Support) to our members.
4). There are more organizations vying for Grant Foundation money with some changing qualification requirements that we may no longer meet.
Because of this, we will no longer offer a discount for online dues payment as of 12/31/2020.
TVCUC Annual Membership fee is $20.00 / Household Annual membership is for one calendar year, January 1through December 31. We start enrollment for the coming year on 10/1 of the current year.
Note: As of 01/01/21 accepted dues payment is Credit Card only.
Cash and Check will no longer be accepted after 12/31/20.
We thank you for your continued support and look forward to serving you.
