Beginning the New Year
Typically, in each month’s newsletter we offer tips and information on technology-related articles that can help you get more mileage out of your computer or other technology devices. But as the new year begins, we need to ask for your help. The TVCUC is sourced by volunteers, and these individuals are not just geeks or computer enthusiasts, but volunteers who help us manage and staff our standing committees and board of directors.
While the pandemic is either behind us (or depending on your perspective, our new normal) everything has changed. This holds in life, in business, and in how the TVCUC has morphed into more of a support organization you can call when one of your technology devices isn’t working properly. In that regard, our First Level Support (FLS) team is doing an amazing job. We field up to a hundred technology support calls a month from our members and we are extremely fortunate to have a group of technology experts who provide almost immediate response when a member experiences a problem.
Where the TVCUC needs help is in several areas that might align with your expertise or be something you might enjoy learning to do. These are very meaningful volunteer positions, and they will not take a lot of your time. If you’d like to learn more about any of these positions, please send an email to [email protected].
